The Haiti Project

Our initial focus in helping others in third world countries through this campaign will be on Haiti. We will be partnering with Living Hope Mission in Cap Haitian to impact several communities by building a church, school, and fresh water well at each site.

Local congregations are encouraged through the building projects of churches (as well as pastoral leadership training). Schools are a natural outgrowth of the local church community. Living Hope Mission helps build the schools and also provides scholarships and school lunch programs for the children who attend them. Drilling fresh water wells supplies good drinking water to communities which have none.

Living Hope Mission was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1993 by Wilbert and Meg Merzilus. Their purpose in Haiti is to touch the suffering people with the love and healing power of Jesus Christ by providing spiritual, educational, and physical help for the whole person.
